bit of a ding up from today's storm. Once again we are on the edge of the system and I'm glad to not be experiencing the full force of a storm.

daughter's concert pics We were geeky parents and shot loads of pictures. Just think, the baby is a Junior at Uni. One more year and she'll graduate.

Finally, I've been participating in adventdrabbles this year. So far, I've been writing about Aurora Sinistra. Yesterday's had her daughter in it.
I'm toying the prompt for day 9 has me toying with writing something featuring Poppy/Rodolphus. What do you all think?

I spent this afternoon writing on my Nano attempt.

7948 / 25000 words. 32% done!

I looked over what I had, scrapped a section, did a rewrite and my goal will be 25K by the end of the month. Anything above that number is a bonus at this point.

I keep seeing pleas for pinch hitters. Somebody stop me from volunteering. Seriously, there's enough going on around here....

I finished up another chapter of Broken. It's posted to my dreamwidth for concrit. This is a 4,000+ word chapter that may need to be broken into two shorter ones.

Allergy season sucks.

Also, I have Spike nattering again. There is some game being advertised where the characters thoughts are being shared. One of them is thinking "sparklie balls, sparklie balls, I have sparklie balls"
Obviously, my inner Spike went right to Nancytribe vampires that sparkle with that line.

Wrote a crappy fic for the bbtp_challenge and will be doing massive edits on it. Sorry eeyore9990 for this embarrassing attempt at a birthday fic. My migraine is gone and things are quieter around here, so the fic is getting re-done over the weekend. the new and improved version should be up sometime next week.

oh, I applied for a job and was accepted. supervisor has fibro and is understanding about needing time to see doctors and having bad days.

I have two fics to read and comment on and no brains with which to make coherent comments. I have a tired body due to spraying the weeds and clearing the fence line. I want to write and can't come up with anything. I'd love to finish some of the wip's languishing around here.

In other news, I read the short form of Julian of Norwich's Revelations of Divine Love. I'm trying to decide if I want to read the long form or switch to something lighter to read. The long form is a reworking of the short form with more details and meditations added in. Decisions, decisions....

I'm working on re-writing some earlier fics and trying to tie up the lose ends of a wip.

I managed to spell check and hopefully write coherent blending of sections for 12,598 words. I'm not quite ready to ask for beta readers. I want to write the next sections and get the sequel fixed up so that they can all be posted as one fic. I hope.

snarry_holidays fic is off to the beta shop. snupin_santa fic is bugging me. I want the boys to cooperate with me.

Knit scarf for Christmas at Sea is ready to be mailed. Wimple for anaquana progresses nicely. Cell phone cozy for romaine24 stalled out when my arthritis flared. My fingers are happier and I think I can use the little needles again. :D

Reading Don Quixote has been put on hold again. I got bored. *sigh* Next up, mowing and weeding the yard. I'll write if I find anything interesting out in that jungle.

Hey Gang, check out this blog It has a notice about a writing contest. I know some of my friends write more than fan fiction, so I thought I would share the news.

First a quick very scary story. I had company over on Saturday for a pitch-in dinner, one family brought a wonderful apple pie with caramel drizzled on it. Some one else brought a chocolate merangue pie. We had kids present ranging in ages from 10 down to 3. (do you see where this is going?) The curtain climbers had a slice each of the apple pie, they had chicken and noodles, they had cookies/bicuits, and two slices each of the chocolate pie washed down with pop. What is scary about that? If you can ask this question, you've never been around a pack of curtain climbers hyped up on sugar. Worse yet, they decided that they were....*whispers* bored. I'll spare you the gory details.
